While I'm preparing my article about my attendance of the three awesome events of the Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival, I'm posting a wonderful blog entry by our authors from Germany as well as another photo of Alex with his so well deserved award. Alex was extremely touched by receiving the award, and when I met him he looked like as if he couldn't believe that he had won. I told him that he absolutely deserves this award, because he worked so hard on his role in "Three Rivers". But he still incredulously looked at me.

In the context of the Donate Life Film Festival, on June 11, 2010, Alex won the award of Donate Life Hollywood's Person of the Year. He deserves it and it's a great honor for him. Through his work as an Ambassador for Donate Life he tries to advert people for Organ donation. We got aware of Organ donation after seeing the show Three Rivers. This made us think about life and we decided to support Alex with his project. And this since a while. Alex we are so happy for you and we are proud to be a part of your project. But you know this in the meantime! Someone told you about.
Thank you to all who supported us! There is a lot of work to do!

Im Rahmen des Donate Life Film Festivals wurde Alex gestern der Titel "Donate Life Hollywood's Person of the Year" verliehen!
Eine große Ehre für ihn, die er verdient hat!
Im Rahmen seiner Arbeit versucht er als Botschafter auf Organspende aufmerksam zu machen!
Wir wurden durch die Serie Three Rivers mit dem Thema konfrontiert. Seither haben einige von uns ihr Leben neu überdacht und beschlossen, Alex bei diesem Projekt zu untersützen.
Das tun wir schon eine ganze Weile!

Alex wir freuen uns sehr für Dich und sind stolz ein Teil Deines Projektes zu sein.
Aber das weiß Du ja mittlerweile. Das hat man dir ja schon gesagt.
Danke an alle, die uns bis jetzt dabei unterstützt haben! Und wir haben noch viel vor!

Awh what a beautiful hug for Sabine. You can definitely see how overcome Alex was in the video that has been posted but when she says his reaction to her words, he just is so humbled. I think he just needed that hug at that moment and yeah Sabine was there to give him the support from all the fans through that one HUGE moment.

Update:

I heard from Sabine earlier today (my time). In the next day or so she's hoping to have some more pictures posted. She wouldn't give me any 'spoilers', but she wants to do a bit of a humorous post with them, so should be fun. moose

At least some of the rest of the photos of her and Alex's meeting should be up soon as well. They need to be watermarked first though. I believe Sabine has some watermarked already, and I should be getting some of them by the weekend as well to give her a hand with that. Sorry ladies, no 'pre-releases'. snicker

Sabine's also planning on writing a couple of shorter articles about her experience soon as well, and then she's hoping by early next week to have a longer, more detailed article written that ties everything together.

That's classic! Alex likes to open his own pressies!
Would love to see a closeup of the drawing. That technique
is called stippling and it's very hard to do well. (I don't)

I'm waiting for the day when I may personally hand one
