Alex O’Loughlin Dedicates a Rose

Alex O’Loughlin, Donate Life Ambassador and star of Three Rivers, dedicated a Family Circle Rose to ride on the 2010 Donate Life Rose Parade Float in honor of Fernando, whose family consented to eye donation because they were fans of the CBS show “Three Rivers” and wanted Fernando to help people like on the show.  Alex’s personal dedication writes, “Fernando's legacy lives on through his family, friends and those whose sight he restored through cornea donation. I will always be inspired by Fernando's generosity. Sincerely, Alex O'Loughlin”

That is lovely and so like Alex. I will confess though, when I first saw
this I thought he was gonna be RIDING on the thing! He will likely still be in
OZ for New Year's.

That is so sweet and so sad for Fernando's family. To think all the good TR could have done if the word had gotten out to more people. Well, we are grateful for what we got.
