You're invited to a Three Rivers Viewing Party! Sunday, Oct. 4, on CBS

Dear Three Rivers Fans:

The big premier of Three Rivers happens Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009 on CBS, 9pm Pacific and Eastern time, 8pm Central Time.

We will be holding a viewing party and chat all day at the Fans of Three Rivers Organ Donation Campaign site: http://www.fanstrdonorcampaign.com/

If you haven’t already registered there, please do!  It’s quicker and simpler than registering at either Moonlight and Beyond or The Alex O’Loughlin Fan Club Forum, and will allow you to participate in the chat before and after watching Three Rivers!

Entrance to the watch party and chat are open to all, but those who wish to do so are encouraged to donate a sum of their choosing either to: 
 

The National Transplant Assistance Fund:  http://www.transplantfund.org/contribute/

Donate Life America:   https://store.donatelife.net/contribute.php 

Please bear in mind when you select a cause for donation, that Donate Life America gets most of their financial support from government grants and the United Way.  Their donations go toward helping to educate the public about the importance of organ donation.

93% of donations made to The National Transplant Assistance Fund go directly to patients who have received or are in need of transplants, to help them afford things like co-pays, anti-rejection medications, housing during the transplant period (3 months or more), and child care.

Please join us for the Three Rivers watch party in support of Alex O’Loughlin, the fine cast and crew of Three Rivers, and the entire transplant community!

I'm with you, broha; I can't afford much, but I'm going to give a little something to the NTAF in honor of the Three Rivers premiere.

And I will definitely be there for the chat!  It will be nice to spend the time with all the friends that Alex brought together to celebrate his new show!

We're going to have a great time and hopefully, nationwide, we and all the other fan sites will raise some money for the transplant community! If we individually feel the financial pinch in these tough times, we can only imagine what transplant patients and their families are going through!

Amen to that Nan,  you know with my family's mannnnny health issues hospital costs add up verrrrry quickly and I cannot imagine not being able to have the surgery.  With our involvement in organ donation we felt nothing but the loss of the donor, my sister.  It's very sad that some cannot afford the huge costs of being w/the recipient etc. so very difficult.

If that had been the situation for Rob's surgery to clip his brain aneurysm I'd have taken my 401K money out.  sadly for MANY Americans they don't have that luxury.  Thank God it didn't come to that.

When do we donate?  Now or premier night?  I'm assuming the latter. 

Thanks for participating and for everyone who's chosen to donate... it's great Karma.  God bless everyone.
